Data Protection Declaration
Pursuant to § 13 clause 1 of the German Teleservices Act (TMG), the provider of a teleservice must brief his users at the start of use about the type, scope and purposes of collecting and using personal data in a universally comprehensible format. The contents of the briefing must be available to the users at all times. Every company is obliged to brief the users on which personal data it shall collect or use.
Bodensee Schiffsbetriebe GmbH lays special emphasis on protecting the user’s data and on complying with the data protection provisions. The collection, processing and use of personal data is subject to the regulations of the current laws and of the EU Data Protection Directive. According to § 3 clause 1 of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), personal data is deemed as particulars about personal and factual circumstances of a certain or ascertainable person.
Personal circumstances: For instance - name, address, e-mail address, date of birth, nationality, occupation, health records, religion etc. Factual circumstances: For instance - Income, financial condition, property etc.

Data transmission to Third Parties
Data may not be transferred to third parties without the consent of the parties concerned or without a legal basis.

Bodensee Schiffsbetriebe GmbH uses Google Analytics, a Web Analysis Service of Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "Cookies", text files, which are saved on the user’s computer and which analyse the use of the website. Information on the use of this website that is generated by the Cookie is usually transferred to a Google Server in USA and is saved there. If the IP-Anonyomisation is activated on this webpage, then the IP address of the user shall be previously abridged by Google within the Member States of the European Union or in other Contracting States of the Agreement on the European Economic Area.

Every dataset contains the date and the time of access, URL of the referring website, opened file, quantity of data sent, browser type and version, operating system and the user’s IP address. It is not possible to allocate this data to a specific person. The stored data shall be evaluated only internally and only for statistical purposes.

Persons under 12 years of age must not transfer any personal data to Bodensee Schiffsbetriebe GmbH without the consent of parents/legal guardians. Minors may transfer personal data to Bodensee Schiffsbetriebe GmbH only if this has been explicitly approved by the parents/legal guardians or if the minors are 12 years old or above.
